As a thinker-analyzer, I take pleasure in developing a marketing plan and executing the creative steps to produce results. I want to see the numbers and more specifically, I want to tie revenue to my marketing initiatives. On a daily basis, I analyze our data to improve current marketing.

Brief History

Back in 2010, I launched social media platforms for The National Conference Center, the largest residential training conference center in the U.S., and West Belmont Place, a modern wedding venue in Leesburg, VA. I transformed a one-way communication channel into a resource for meeting planners and brides and ensured all paid, earned and owned media matched the overall marketing strategy.  As the editor and blogger for and Bits of Bliss, I generated powerful content and placed an emphasis on interacting with the meeting planning and bridal communities; I was able to determine industry trends, obtain feedback and develop loyal clients to share with our sales, catering, and planning teams. My efforts resulted in media impressions (see below in Press from Social Media).

In 2012, I was the project manager for the International Association of Conference Center’s Emerging Trends Committee’s project A Guide to Social Media. Published for hotels, conference centers and resorts, the guide is a resource for hoteliers who want to successfully launch or creatively strengthen their hotel’s social media.
